SCP Advocacy Committee
The Advocacy Committee of the Society of Clinical Psychology (Division 12 of the American Psychological Association) works to advance the interests of clinical psychologists and the communities they serve. This includes, but is not limited to, promoting evidence-based mental health practices, raising awareness of policy issues affecting psychological services, and strengthening the voice of clinicians in legislative and regulatory discussions.
With guidance from APA, the committee seeks to share emerging challenges in mental health care and highlight opportunities for members to engage in advocacy at various levels.
Meet Anastasia Bullock, Psy.D.
SCP Advocacy Committee Chair
Dr. Bullock is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in consultation-liaison psychology at Cooper University Health Care, where she is currently serving as the Psychology Internship Training Director. She also holds a faculty position within Cooper Medical School at Rowan University, teaching medical students about integrated health psychology.
Dr. Bullock has served on the Committee on Legislative Affairs and Executive Board within the New Jersey Psychological Association where she has supported efforts to change legislation for psychologists at the state level. In addition to Division 12, she is a member of the Association for Psychologists in Academic Health Centers and other divisions within the American Psychological Association (38, 45).
